The "2022092 800G high-speed optical module research and development for ultra-large data centers" declared by Shenzhen Opway was exclusively approved in the fierce competition and received millions RMB in research and development funds. This is the sixth time Opway has been funded by the Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Committee about science and technology program.

The core members of the project have 3 doctors and 7 masters, with an average age of 38 years old. The project has been approved and funded by the government through fierce competition after the solicitation, feasibility report preparation, defense, on-site assessment.

The project has two schemes: 8X100G for SR scenario and 4X200G for FR scenario. With the best optical interconnection solutions for data centers to meet the demands of surging data traffic brought by the development of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and 5G. The implementation of the project will promote the improvement of China's technology level in 5G communication, cloud computing, high-speed optical devices and optical modules of large and ultra-large data centers, and narrow the gap with the international advanced level.
